Golden Star, Chinese Cuisine
So as long as I can remember as a child almost every other weekend my mom and dad would take my sister to Golden Star, out on Wheaton Way in Bremerton. Needless to say it will always be my favorite restaurant of all time, it excersizes a traditional take with a very low key notice in the community, since I've been going there regularly for the last 20 something years. Today I want to share my favorite dishes from them, the chef special No. 2;
Start with there signature egg drop soup, I know you are thinking, egg drop soup? What is special about that, well for me it brings back some of the happiest moments in my life with my family being together. Also the flavors are to hard to explain in words you really have to try it for yourself and make your own memories. :)
Next is the main Dish:
Breaded Almond Fried Chicken with tasty gravy,
Pork Fried Rice
And a delicious serving of Beef Chow Mein.
All this for only under $10
It is perhaps the best reminder of why I love food besides all the great dishes my mom taught me over the last few years. All of this brings back great memories. I hope you enjoy and Cheers.

This is my take on the traditional shepherd's pie with both traditional Ground lamb and modern ground beef take on it.
My recipe goes a little like this:
1lb. mirepoix (1/4 celery, 1/4 carrot, 1/2 onion)- Saute then steam in a
Cup of beef broth.
1lb ground lamb and 1lb ground beef. - cook it in with the mirepoix.
Season it w/
Lavender herb blend, salt, pepper, soy sauce. All to taste.
As for the mash potato crust:
1lb rustic potatoes (peal, cut, boil, mash)
1Tbs butter
Salt and pepper TT
When everything is set and ready place in a flat casserole pan, spread mash potatoes on top of everything. Sprinkle a little of panko bread crumbs on top. Then back at 350 degrees for 30 min.
After let set for 5- 10 min and serve. Cheers.
You can also interchange and add what ever you like to this recipe to make it your own style and flavor.
